A contracted FedEx employee is accused of leaving dozens of holiday packages in the woods to avoid working late.
Latavian Lewis, of Alabama, was arrested and faces charges of grand theft, illegal dumping and organized scheme to defraud. New York Post Informed. His arrest came after a post office in Bonifay, Florida received reports of FedEx packages scattered on the roadside and in a wooded area.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, “During the interview, Lewis admitted to the deputy that, due to the delays, he chose to discard undelivered packages at multiple locations rather than return them to the FedEx warehouse.”
