The Islamic State is believed to have been considered behind a deadly suicide bombing in a Greek Orthodox Church in Syrian on Sunday.
At least 22 people were killed, and 63 were injured in other attacks, which took place at Maria Alias Church in Dawil on the outskirts of Damascus. This allegedly started when people were praying. The criminal first set fire to those who performed the pooja before exploding themselves.
While no group had immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, Syrian Interior Ministry spokesman Noorddine al-Baba suggested ISIS as a possible criminal after preliminary investigation.

The country’s Foreign Ministry resonated Al-Baby, describing the attack as a desperate attempt to “reduce national co-existence and destabilize the country.”

The attack condemned international. The US ambassador to Syria and special messenger for the Syria Tom Barrack wrote on X, “There is no place in the new tapestry of the integrated tolerance and inclusion of these terrible acts of cowardice that Syrians are weaving.”
“We continue to support the Syrian government because it fights against those who are trying to create instability and fear in their country and broader region,” the post concluded.

The attack comes between the time of the extended political disturbance in the infamous unstable Middle East – less than 24 hours after the US started an airstrikes on three top nuclear facilities in Iran.

Israel started a series of similar attacks, including attacks on the Iranian capital, Tehran, which were in the first weeks.
