Leaks are one Constant part of large product news cycles, especially for companies like Apple. Online soothsayers such as John Prosar and Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman have long predicted the contents of upcoming apple announcements, cited as anonymous sources from within the company. They are often sufficient for cupertino company to become a real pain.
Now, Apple has seized back against the leak on the occasion of fighting back. In a complaint filed at the US Federal Court on Thursday for the northern district of California, Apple has allegedly accused the chief leaker John Prosar of “an apple development in the iPhone, stealing the business secrets of Apple, stealing the business secrets of Apple and profit from theft.”
The suit alleges that, with a co-princely, the processor, which makes a video on the YouTube channel front page tech, deliberately took advantage of an apple employee named Ethan Clerk, who had access to a developer iPhone, which has been sold as iOS 26. Vikas is showing details of unpublished software for the processor on phone and a video call. Proctor then allegedly used the information received in the initial glimpse in the iOS, which he posted well on his YouTube channel before Apple officially announced the update.
The suit also alleges that Ramsioti claims that the process fulfills the entire plan, promising Ramashoti, he will find a way for “” [Mr. Ramacciotti] To receive payment. ,
Prosar has denied any wrongdoing and says the details of the suit are incorrect. In public positions on X, Prosar has said that it was not how things went to its end.
“The details given Apple are not just accurate,” Prosar wrote to me through a direct message on X. “I had no knowledge of how information was received. He never told me that he ‘needs money’ and I did not give him full instructions.”
Professor did not deny that he revealed information from Ramsoti. He highlighted the details about the unpublished update in a series of videos earlier this year, in which he said news, “The biggest iOS leak ever.”
Despite the question of how he really gained information, thereafter, it was disturbed. Ethan Clerk, Apple Employees, who had Vikas Phone, who are accused of accessing Ramacciotti, were fired by the company. According to the complaint, Apple ended the clerical employment, “to fail to follow Apple’s policies designed to protect their confidential information including development equipment and unpublished software and features.”
Apple has not responded to the remarks requests. Ethan clerk has also not responded to the remarks request.
“This is a very important lawsuit,” says Ansel Sag, principal analyst of Tech Research firm Moore Insights and Strategy. “But I also believe what the process is saying and there is a lot of inequality between Apple’s allegations, especially since the employee did not know what was going on.”
The biggest problem here is being accused, Sag says, while the data was taken from a growth tool, which should have been protected better, how that data was achieved and where it came from, it should have been weightted before being excluded in the world.
“Finally, every company fights with leaks, especially Apple, but it is entirely in the US, with the company to support its efforts,” Sag says. ” Many apples leaks historically come from sources outside the US, such as within its manufacturing and supply chain partners in Asia. Because the complaint focuses on incidents that allegedly occurred in California, Apple may argue in the federal court that two US law- defend trade secret act and computer fraud and misuse act- have been violated.
Proctor says that he did not find out about the trial until read the story of a macromors about the filing.
“I feel terrible that Ethan was abolished on it,” says Prosar. “I wish he used to share with Apple what happened, and I wanted Apple to be associated with me for more answers – I would have happily interacted with him.”
