This Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate (ARMD) solicitation page compiles opportunities to collaborate with NASA aeronautical innovators and/or contribute to their research to enable new and improved air transportation systems.
Most opportunities to participate in research are officially announced through the web-based NASA Solicitation and Proposal Integrated Review and Evaluation System, known as NSPIRS. You are encouraged to visit the NSPIRES web site, create an account, and sign up for automated email announcements.
Other types of collaborative opportunities, such as requests for information or academic research competitions, are also included on this page.
This ARMD solicitation page has four major sections:
12 March 2026
Deadline to respond to peer reviewers’ call for NASA Aerospace Skilled Technical Workforce Hub proposals.
23 March 2026
NASA Aerospace Skilled Technical Workforce Hub Proposal Deadline.
NASA Research and Education Support Services is seeking individuals interested in serving as peer reviewers for the NASA Aerospace Skilled Technical Workforce Hub (NAS_Hub) opportunity.
Information about this opportunity, proposal requirements, and evaluation criteria can be found on the NAS_Hub landing page in the NASA Solicitation and Proposal Integrated Review and Evaluation System (NSPIRES).
Peer review is an important component of the decision-making process for awarding projects. By involving individuals with diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and areas of expertise in the review process, your participation will help identify high-quality projects.
The peer review process is completed in two stages. Proposals are first reviewed individually and anonymously online. When the online review period ends, a panel will convene to discuss the proposals and identify those recommended for funding.
- The online review period is scheduled for March 30-April 10, 2026. The proposal narrative is of 15 pages and every effort will be made not to submit more than 8 proposals. Non-civil servant online reviewers will receive $75 for each proposal review completed and submitted to NSPIRS before the end of the review period.
Comment: If selected as an online reviewer, a mandatory training will be conducted 30 March 2026.
- The virtual panel review is scheduled to take place between the dates of April 20-29, 2026. Specific days have not been selected yet. Non-civil servant panelists will receive an honorarium of $200/day.
Comment: If selected as a virtual panelist, a mandatory training will be conducted 16 April 2026.
Willingness to serve as peer review does not guarantee selection. The selection of reviewers is based on the content of the proposals received. If selected, you will be notified via email with detailed instructions on the process.
If you are interested in participating in the peer review process, please click here to complete the NAS_Hub Reviewer Response Form no later than March 12, 2026.
Inquiries regarding this request should be submitted via email at NAS_Hub@nasaprs.com

NASA’s Advanced Capabilities for Emergency Response Operations (ACERO) project used this request for information to identify technologies that address current challenges facing the wildland firefighting community. NASA was seeking information on data collection, airborne connectivity and communications solutions, unmanned aircraft system traffic management, aircraft operations and autonomy, and more. This will support the development of a partnership strategy for future collaborative demonstrations.
Interested parties were requested to submit a response to this notice along with an information package via https://nari.arc.nasa.gov/acero-rfi by 4 pm ET, October 15, 2023. Submissions were accepted only from US companies.

This request for information is being used to gather market research for NASA to make informed decisions about potential partnership strategies and future research to enable advanced air mobility (AAM). NASA is seeking information from public, private, and academic organizations to determine the technical needs and community interests that may lead to future requests regarding AAM research and development.
This special RFI is one of several planned opportunities for formal feedback or participation on NASA’s AAM mission-related efforts to help develop these requirements and enable AAM.
Responses to date for this RFI close at 6pm EST on February 1, 2025.
Advanced Air Vehicles Program Fellowship Opportunities
(See full ROA-2025 NRA Amendment 1 text here.)
This announcement seeks proposals from accredited US institutions for research training grants to begin the academic year. This notice of funding opportunity is designed to support independently conceived research projects by highly qualified graduate students in disciplines essential to helping advance NASA’s mission, thus giving these students the opportunity to directly contribute to progress in STEM-related fields of study. These opportunities focus on innovation and the generation of measurable research results that contribute to NASA’s current and future science and technology goals.
Revision 1 seeks research proposals to address the key challenges summarized in the Elements section at the end of the document, and which reference NASA’s Hypersonic Technology Project.
Reflecting FY 2026 budget changes, the transformative equipment and technology project opportunities originally described in this announcement were canceled. Proposals referring to this project will not be evaluated.
