Canva on Thursday unveiled a visual suit 2.0 to a re-designed platform with new features and AI-operated equipment. Sydney -based Visual Communications Platform demonstrated several new features at its annual Canva Create Event at Los Angeles, Canva AI, Canva Sheets, Canva Code, Magic Chart and Visual Suit under Visual Suit 2.0 umbrella. The company did not find out that these features could be widely rolled out or if all these features would be available to those at the free level of the platform.
In a press release, the company expanded all the new features and equipment to users under the visual suit 2.0 banner. Canva launched the company’s largest product since its establishment in 2012 and highlighted that it is re-connecting the design process for the AI-operated era. The focus areas of new features include creativity, communication and cooperation.
One of the major new additions contains the scene suite in a design. Canva is now increasing the scope of what users can make in the same interface. Previously, the design sheet was locked on a certain dimension – so if a user was working on a presentation, they could only add slides that matched with standard presentation dimensions. Visual suit changes that more flexibility and creative freedom is offered, by allowing users to connect and work with slides of different dimensions within the same project.
This means that users can add a presentation slide, a document and an Instagram story slide to the same project. Canva states that it will eliminate the requirement of different devices and fragmented workflows.

Canva sheets are another new addition that brings users to add complex data to the sheet to create data and text to integrate. The tool uses AI-operated magic studios, and users can simplify their data with features such as magic insights. Users can also import data using hubspots, statista, google analytics and more data connectors facilities. Canva said that the equipment would also support general spreadsheet formulas.
In addition to canva sheets, the platform is also adding magic charts, an AI experience that converts raw numbers into a scene with a tap. The company says that users will be able to produce scrollable reports, animated visualizations and infographics. Canva is also adding new templates to select users.

A voice-competent AI assistant, Canva AI is also being added to the platform. It is a quick shortcut for all magic studios-operated AI facilities at the same place. The company says that users will be able to access these devices in a consequent manner and produce lessons, slides and images. Canva AI will allow users to edit photos and change the design size with single voice-based prompts.
The company is also focusing on coding with its new canva code tool. It is essentially a low-code/no-code tool that users use AI to write code for different apps and web design. The company claims that users will be able to go from code to design preview. Users websites can create landing pages, classroom resources and other interactive designs.

Finally, the canva photo editor is being added to the visual suit of the platform. With new AI features, users will be able to edit them, add AI-borne background, and click on specific elements in an image to remove or replace objects.
Canva also said that the company has taken steps to ensure the safety of these AI-operated equipment. When manufacturing these products, Canva “used input and output moderation, safety filters, by mitigation, and clear user control how data is used in AI training.”
