Chelsea’s Cole Palmer said after the match, “I knew that he was going to come here, but I did not know that when we pick up the trophy, he was going to the stand, so I was a little confused.”
Palmer scored two goals and assisted one and one in victory. He obtained a golden ball as the top player of the tournament.
Palmer was pleased with his performance, as Paris appeared to be a favorite in the St.-Gerrmen final.
“This is a great feeling. Even better because obviously everyone doubted us before the game,” he said. “Gafar put out a great gameplan, and, of course, he knew where the space was going to happen.”
