What does a good rover do when his back is against a wall? Fight for science!
Curiosity actually fought a good fight in “Rio Froyo”, which we are systematically searching for one of the many lines cutting through the boxwork area. Overviews with the wall today provide insight into the internal structure and chemistry of the lines, hopefully giving us a clue to why they are proud of the surrounding area.
The structural story will be described by the large mastcam mosaic we plan, which covers the ridge above the base, and from a palace mosaic, in which a horizon of a wall filled with resistant nodules is covered and there is a possibility of cutting smooth, swoop surfaces in all directions. The mosaic target, “Jordin de Las Delicias”, will definitely surfrite a martian delights. The chemical story will be explained by analysis of the supercame analysis of a vein in the target “Minimini” and “L Tapado” filled with nodules. Unlike the ridge, we planned a mastcam mosaic of the hollow part based on the ridge on the target “Playa japatilla”.
Beyond the ridge, we planned to imaging the mastcam and chestcam of “Paneeri” and “Mishe Mokwa” butt, and the sky observation with Navakam and Mastkam respectively. Dan, Red, and Rames run through the plan, keeping an eye on the Martian atmosphere from time to time. Our drive will take us to a small ridge for Rio Froyo, where we will once again fight to know the mysteries that these lines have to tell about the past of Mars.
