Four small satellites in the CO3D Nakshatra (a brief name of the French ‘Nakshatra Optic N3D’) to meet the needs of the public and private sector, are ready to map the globe in three dimensions from the low Earth’s orbit.
The microcarb is designed to map sources and sinks of carbon dioxide globally. ESA coordinated and bought the launch of the microcarb on behalf of the European Commission, as part of its in-orbit performance / in-orbit verification (IOD / iov) program.
