Hamas’s terrorists returned to Israel for more than 480 days after ripping him from his house in Kibutaz Neer Oz and dragged him to Gaza Strip. Israeli President Isaac Herzog also commented on the release of Yordon, called it “Dil Dahl”.
“Yordan’s reunion with our family is just a heart wrenching. We are all deeply concerned about the fate of our beloved Shiri, Ariel and Kefir Bibas – as a whole nation we hold them in our hearts. People are standing by Yardan and the whole family. With great concern and in hearty prayer, “Herzog wrote in a post on X.
The platform of hostage and missing families also celebrated Yardon Bibas’s return, and vowed to demand his wife and two sons to be released.
In the beginning of Saturday, Bibas was freed with American-Israeli Keith Saggal and French-Israel Offer Kalderan in the fourth round of hostage release as part of the ongoing ceasefire deal of Israel and Hamas.
IDF International spokesperson Lt Col Nadav Shoshani wrote on the substash, “The moment Hamas made his barbaric attack on 7 October, we are committed to a mission – every hostage house wishing the house.” “We can’t forget for a moment, 79 hostages who remain in Hamas captivity.”

American among three hostages freed from the grip of terror after about 500 days

The release of Bibas, Seigel and Calderan seemed to be different from the release of previous hostages, in which shocking scenes of the crowd were seen gathering prisoners as they were transferred to the red cross. This change is likely to be due to the demand of Netanyahu that intermediary guarantees to evacuate the hostages after chaotic scenes.
While in captivity, Bibas was forced to make a hostage film in which he was seen breaking as Hamas claimed that his wife and children were killed. Hamas often uses this type of video, which the IDF calls “psychological terror”. However, Shiri, KFIR and Ariel were included in the list of 33 hostages to be released in the first phase of the ceasefire deal in the terrorist organization.
On his release, Yordan’s family said that “a quarter of our heart has returned to us after 15 long months … Yordan has returned home, but the house remains incomplete.”

The callers for the release of Bibas’s family often used color orange to symbolize the bright red hair of the baby and the child.
At the time of his kidnapping, KFIR was 9 months old and Ariel was 4 years old. They are the remaining children in Gaza. Ariel is now 5 years old and KFIR has marked his second birthday in Hamas captivity, where he has spent two more birthdays.
Till Saturday, 79 hostages remain in Gaza, out of which 35 have been declared dead and whose bodies are in Hamas’s hands. Keith Sagal, who was freed on Saturday, is the first Israel-American to be released. Gaza still has six American citizens, out of which only two are considered alive.
