The President of Finland is urging President Trump to impose a time limit on Vladimir Putin of April 20 to agree with a ceasefire in Ukraine.
Talking to Fox News in London after a weekend visit with Trump in Florida, Alexander Stub praised Trump’s attempts to interact, saying that Trump is “perhaps the only person in the world who can mediate peace.”
Dan Hoffman: Trump has tried ‘everything’ to ‘woo’ to come to the bargaining table of Russia.
But he argued that the conversation process of the ceasefire should not be open.
“We need a ceasefire, and we need a date for the ceasefire,” Stub said. “And that date should be of April 20.”

Three months after the inauguration of Trump will be marked on 20 April, and is also conservative.
“If President Putin – who is the only one who is not accepting a ceasefire, because Americans want it, Europeans want it, Ukrainian wants it – if he does not force the ceasefire, we should go for a huge set of sanctions coming from the United States and Europe,” Stubes said.
Trump has spoken of a “psychological time limit” to agree to a ceasefire for Russia, but refused to name a date.

Stub said that Putin “honored, and in many ways, Donald Trump.”

Stub believes that Ukraine should also be allowed to be involved in “long -run” in the military alliance – a position that runs the counter for the Trump administration.
