Qualampur: The government is moving from supporting micro-business to score SMEs in the middle-sized enterprises of this year to compete globally.
Datuk Evon Benedic, minister of entrepreneurs’ development and cooperative societies, said the move would be supported by grant, financing and digitization programs.
“This year, the government focuses on scaling SMEs in medium -sized enterprises, especially with the ability to grow. We will support them through the existing and new schemes provided by the Ministry and its agencies, ”he told reporters today after abolishing the Tikok Shop Live Hub X Technical Nonsonal Launch.
Ewon said that aiming is to create competitive businesses globally that can contribute more to gross domestic product and employment generation.
“We will offer matching grants and financing to help automatically to automate businesses, obtain new machinery, digitize processes and to follow international standards, such as ESG (environment, social and governance) principles, so that their products and services can compete globally.”
He hoped that Malaysia would see an increase in medium -sized enterprises in the coming years.
“We are currently finalizing the plan to launch four more hubs and this year aims to roll them out. There is a strong demand for expansion, and through the Ministry, Techun Nasil, the discussion will continue. ,
Ewon said that the ministry operates its own online sales platform, Mymall to provide entrepreneurs with more digital sales channels. “The more digital platforms our entrepreneurs can benefit, the better.”
The second Tikkok Shop Live Hub was launched at Tekun Nasiel Headquarters. This initiative is a collaboration between Tikokkok and Tekun Nasiel with the aim of empowering local entrepreneurs through an e-commerce ecosystem. The launch was a step ahead to help the local SME expand to large markets by taking advantage of digital marketing.
As part of its long -term commitment, Tikokk Shop has announced an invested RM 3 million to develop and operate the Tikkok Shop Live Hub in Malaysia. This commitment has been felt to provide digital platform access to entrepreneurs with the opening of the first hub in Kuala Lumpur.
Evon commented that the initiative is a step in the development of Malaysia’s e-commerce ecosystem, especially in Kuala Lumpur. “Ticketk shop live hub will be a catalyst for local digital business development, will create more opportunities for SMEs and provide an innovative place for local material creators.”
Since 2024, he said, Tikkok Shop has participated with Tekun Nasiel to train more than 100 vendors in Salangore, helping them to generate more than RM2.3 million in sales and gain 300% increase in orders.
“I have been informed that the purpose of this partnership is to set up 12 live hub studios in six states – Saba, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor, Calonn and Sarwak.”
Noor Azre Abdul Aziz, director of Tikok Shop Malaysia Strategic Participation, said that beyond his financial solution partnership with Tekun Nasil, the Tikok Shop Live Hub will also help to bridge the digital participation difference for local entrepreneurs, which will enable them to form brands and communities.
“We aim to run inclusive digital economic development, create new job opportunities and open alternative income currents for Malaysian people, especially SMEs,” he said
