An Iranian official warned that any european countries Those entering the conflict against Iran would become “legitimate targets” for Tehran’s retaliation.
Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran Majid Takht-Ravanchi made the comments to France24 after Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian apologized on Saturday to neighboring countries that have been attacked by the regime.
“We have already informed the Europeans and everyone else that they should be careful not to get involved in this war of aggression against Iran,” Takht-Ravanchi told the network. “If they help, I’m not trying to name any countries, but if any country engages in aggression against Iran, engages in aggression against Iran with the US and Israel, then certainly they too would be legitimate targets for Iranian retaliation.”
“This war has been imposed on us and we will continue defend yourself To the best of our abilities,” he said. “We have an obligation to protect our people and that’s exactly what we’re doing.”

Takht-Ravanchi also claimed that Iran “are negotiating in good faith“In negotiations with the US regarding its nuclear program, before the US launched Operation Epic Fury and Israel launched Operation Roaring Lion on 28 February.
“We are honest. We are honest in our effort to reach a peaceful conclusion to this issue,” he told FRANCE24.

Pezeshkian said on Saturday that any future attacks from Iran would only be in response to attacks against the country.
“On my part, I must apologize to the neighboring countries that were attacked by Iran,” he said, according to the Associated Press. “From now on, they should not attack neighboring countries or fire missiles at them, unless we are attacked by those countries. I think we should solve it through diplomacy.”
