The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) launched a widespread strike on Iran following an atomic negotiations between Trump administration and Tehran, and seems to be nuclear dialogue, but according to State Secretary Maro Rubio, the US was not involved in the attacks.
Rubio said in a statement on Thursday night, “Tonight, Israel took unilateral action against Iran.” “We are not involved in attacks against Iran and our highest priority is protecting American forces in the region.
He said, “Israel advised us that he believes that this action was necessary for self -defense.”

In post -strike comments, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu confirmed, “We targeted Iran’s major nuclear scientists working on Iran bomb, we also hit the heart of Iran’s ballistic missile program.
He said, “Our fight is not with the people of Iran, our fight is with the dictatorship of Iran.”

According to an IDF spokesperson, the strike has been termed as “Operation Rising Lion” and Jerusalem came after collecting “high -quality Intel”, suggesting that “Iran is closer than before to develop an atom”.
“We have no choice for the state of Israel to act against these existence threats,” told reporters, an IDF spokesman.
Fox News’ Train Yingst reported that Israel attacked Iran, saying that the blasts were heard in Tehran’s capital.
Emergency situation in Israel has been declared as a country for an Iranian response.
After Iran’s nuclear facilities in early November after a series of missile attacks behind April and October last year, Israel threatened to threaten Israel for the first time.
In April 2024, Tehran began directly connected between Israel and Iran, which imposed its first direct movements against the Israeli territory. Israel responded after less than a week and destroyed the part of Iran’s S -300 long -range air defense system.

Iran is becoming ‘very aggressive’ in nuclear talks, Trump told Fox News
Following the first round of negotiations, the Middle East Special Envoy Steve Witcoff told Fox News that the US wanted to limit Iran’s uranium enrichment to 3.67%, usually civilian nuclear power needs.
Under the joint comprehensive plan (JCPOA), which Trump pulled out in 2018, Iran committed to maintain not exceeding this level of enrichment by 2031 – although it has been found that the agreement has been repeatedly violated.
But the next day, on 15 April, Witcofoff overtaken his comments and said in a statement that “Iran would have to stop and end its nuclear enhancement and weapons program.”
Four days later, the US entered Rome on 19 April to enter its second round of nuclear dialogue, before the third round was held in Muscat on 26 April. Both sides expressed optimism after the talks.
The details of the negotiations were not released, but the reports suggested that the discussion largely focused on limiting Iran’s nuclear program.
The US took a turn after hitting Iran with another round of restrictions in late April, resulting in the dialogue of the first May 3 to postpone the dialogue.
The fourth round of talks began showing signs of stress when Iran described the negotiations as “hard but useful”, and Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi clarified that Washington’s zero rich demand was a “non-pervantic”.

Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi said that “some but decisive progress” was done after the fifth round of talks held in Rome on 23 May.
In early June, Trump and Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamaini repeatedly made it clear that they would refuse to bow down when they came to the issue of enrichment, but the sixth round of talks for June 15 in Oman were still scheduled.
It is not clear whether those talks will continue after the Israeli strike.
