Representative Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), a bona fide member of “The Squad,” failed miserably in an attempt to attack EPA chief Lee Zeldin for taking money from one “Jeffrey Epstein” — a doctor in New York, not the convicted billionaire sex offender who killed himself.
Crockett claimed that Zeldin had received money from Jeffrey Epstein while debating a resolution to censure Representative Stacey Plaskett (D) of the Virgin Islands for her past ties to Epstein.

According to the latest reports from the Federal Election Commission (FEC), Zeldin did indeed receive a campaign donation from Jeffrey Epstein – Epstein was not referring to Crockett.
“Yes Crockett, a physician named Dr. Jeffrey Epstein (who is a completely different person than the other Jeffrey Epstein) donated to my last campaign,” Zeldin fired back at Axe.
“No weird relationship, you genius!” He added.

The FEC’s screenshots proved Zeldin’s innocence regarding Epstein.
As Breitbart News reported this week, newly released documents revealed that Epstein sent text messages to Plaskett praising him for interrogating former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen:
Thousands of pages of emails, texts and other documents from Epstein’s estate were released by the House Oversight Committee last Wednesday, revealing shocking communications between the convicted predator and U.S. Virgin Islands Del. Stacey Plaskett (D) as she prepared to question Trump’s former lawyer turned critic Michael Cohen.
Epstein appeared to be watching the congressional hearing in real time, texting Plaskett that she was looking “great” and informing her that Cohen had mentioned Trump’s former assistant, Ronna Graff, while she testified against her former boss.
Judging by Plaskett’s friendly replies, the texts revealed that the two had a cordial friendship despite being convicted sex offenders. On Tuesday, the House Freedom Caucus led a vote to remove Plaskett from her role in the House Democratic Caucus. All Democrats, including three Republicans, voted against censure. voting No and the other three voted present. It failed by a vote of 209–214.
According to Fox News, the censure also called for Plaskett’s removal from the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, which oversees the FBI and CIA and “regularly receives classified briefings on national security matters”.
“The House of Representatives has a responsibility and a duty to protect the integrity of this institution. And what we learn from the documents released by the estate of Jeffrey Epstein is nothing short of troubling,” said Representative Ralph Norman (R-SC), who led the condemnation.
,“Those documents show that Representative Stacey Plaskett, a sitting member of Congress, interrogated a man who was a convicted sex offender during an official oversight hearing, a man whose crimes against minors shocked this entire country,” he said.
Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD) countered that the censure was “another pathetic attempt to deflect and divert attention from the fact that the president’s name had already appeared over a thousand times in the small portion of material released on Epstein,” adding that Epstein was Plaskett’s “constituent” due to his primary residence in the Virgin Islands.
Raskin said, “The ethics committee, without even going to a court, they want to charge him with something, based on a newspaper article, that he did something legitimate – no matter how ill-advised. He took a call from one of his constituents.”
“Where is the moral crime? Where is the legal violation? Are you saying that anyone on your behalf who spoke to Jeffrey Epstein on the phone should be condemned? He added.
