Paris: French President Emmanuel Macron said on Thursday that he had told US President Donald Trump that his tariff proposal was not a good idea.
He said, “This is not the time to impose tariffs on us … Applying tariffs disrupts the price chains, creates a inflation effect in the short term, and destroys jobs. So it is not good for America or European economies,” he said.
