On this note, he said that the salary and wages paid in the manufacturing sector also posted an amount of RM8.9 billion, 1.7%in December 2024.
Compared to month-by-month, he said that salary and wages have increased by 7.1%. Subsequently, he said that the selling price per employee went to RM66,027 (4.6%), while in December 2024 per employee average salary and wages were RM3,706, which was 0.6% year-to-year.
In the fourth quarter of 2024, the selling price in the manufacturing sector increased 4.4% year-over year, RM481.8 billion (Q3’24: RM483.2 billion, 6.5%).
