The Maybank Championship returns to the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC) for its third edition from 30 October to 2 November 2025. Once again, the region’s premier golf event brings world-class competition and a vibrant showcase of ASEAN culture, creativity and community spirit within the vibrant grounds of Maybank Village.
Champions, icons and homegrown heroes
This year’s Maybank Championship field brings together the best from across the world and region. World No. 1 Gino Thitikul of Thailand, who has already won twice this season, leads an impressive line-up that includes defending champion Ruoning Yin of China and 2023 winner Celine Boutier of France. They are joined by 2025 LPGA Tour winners Grace Kim, Miyu Yamashita, Lottie Wode, twin sisters Aki and Chisato Iwai, Ryo Takeda, Angel Yin, A Lim Kim and Olympic gold medalist Lydia Ko, who together create one of the most spectacular gatherings on the 2025 LPGA calendar.
Carrying the Malaysian flag are Mirabelle Ting, Ashley Lau, Kelly Tan, Liana Duricic and Genevieve Ling, who are competing for the coveted Tiger Trophy and a share of the US$3 million prize fund – the richest in women’s golf in the region.
Demonstrating Thailand’s growing golfing prowess, the top five finishers from the ASEAN Qualifiers Kritchanya Kaopattanaskul (amateur), Achiraya Sriwong (amateur), Namo Luangnitikul (amateur), Cholchewa Wongras and Kan Bunnabodi joined the field, epitomizing the championship’s spirit of regional opportunity and unity.
A cultural experience that is uniquely ASEAN

Beyond the fairways, spectators can enjoy a celebration of ASEAN artistry and heritage. At Maybank Village, the Maybank Women Eco-Weaver Initiative will showcase the traditional craft of ASEAN textile weaving, and invite guests to learn the intricate techniques passed down for generations. Maybank Foundation’s flagship program has empowered over 2,000 women in Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, the Philippines and Malaysia, enabling sustainable livelihoods while preserving distinctive ASEAN ancient craftsmanship.
Golf With a Cause, Save a Heart
Continuing the legacy of its cause, the championship once again shines a spotlight on those in need through the Maybank Save a Heart initiative. In partnership with Institut Jantung Negara (IJN), the campaign aims to provide life-saving treatment to children suffering from heart disease in ASEAN countries every year.
The Maybank Championship Umbrella makes a meaningful return this year, now taking on a purpose beyond its iconic yellow colour. With a minimum contribution of RM10, fans can take home this signature gift from the Maybank Championship Umbrella Donation Truck, with all proceeds going directly to the Save A Heart Fund.
Visitors can also show their support at the Save A Heart booth within Maybank Village or explore the cause through the Balai Seni Art Series (BSAS) exhibition, where art itself becomes an act of giving. Since 1988, Balai Seni Maybank has supported creative expression and cultural preservation. This year’s BSAS continues that legacy with a curated showcase of emerging Malaysian artists, including past participants of the MyTiger Values Art Competition. Each piece purchased helps further the championship’s cause by going green, reminding us that art, like sports, can touch hearts and inspire change.
Meet Malaysia’s sporting hero Shah Firdous
Adding to the excitement, two-time Olympian and national track cyclist Shah Firdous will make a special appearance at the meet-and-greet session with fans, celebrating the shared values of perseverance, dedication and sportsmanship that unite athletes from across disciplines.
Interactive experiences for all

The Championships offer something for every visitor. At Maybank Village, Malaysia’s national animal takes digital form in a playful AI tiger experience, inviting visitors to interact with this symbol of strength and grace. Avid golfers can test their swing in the MST×Maybank Championship Golf Simulator, where games, challenges and rewards await throughout the day.
