Mexico President Claudia Shinbam agreed to send 10,000 soldiers to their northern border as one of the ways to temporarily prevent 25 percent tariffs from the Trump administration. The Mexican President concession comes after the days of grandeur, which publicly claimed that it would stand for the sovereignty of her country.
On Monday morning, US President Donald J. Trump announced that Mexico had agreed to send 10,000 military troops on its northern border to prevent illegal immigration and phentanel smuggling. The move allowed Mexico to avoid new tariffs for a month. During that month, officials of the two countries will work on a new “deal” between the two countries.
Mexico President Claudia Shinbam also posted on social media in Spanish that his conversation with Trump was honorable and agreed to send 10,000 National Guard soldiers to prevent Phantanile trafficing. He claimed that the US government agreed to help Mexico fight the illegal smuggling of arms in its country.
Over the weekend, Shinbam and his political colleagues posted a series of social media comments, calling for Mexico to be firm against Trump’s efforts to impress their country. Shinbam called for honor and used nationalist phrases in his attempt to unite Mexican on his behalf.
However, the politician greatly criticized the famous allegations from the pundits that his party, Morena, benefited drug smugglers. The same allegations have recently been made public by Trump White House.
