Kuala Lumpur: More than 76% of businesses in Asia, Europe and Middle East are inspired by the capacity of digital technologies, including AI and Cloud Computing in Driving Sustainable Development, as per the latest survey report called “Tech-Powered Stability Trends and Index 2024”, Alibaba Cloud, Digital Technology and Intelligence have been conceived.
However, adequate energy consumption associated with these technologies still reflects a significant obstacle for widespread adoption, as 61% of the respondents have still expressed concern over the case.

Additionally, 75% of Citesecurity Risk as a major obstacle to adopt advanced digital solutions more widely.
Despite this optimism, 59% of businesses accept gaps in understanding how digital technology can help achieve stability goals at 63% with Asia, followed by Europe 61% and Middle East at 45%.
About two -thirds 62% of the officials believe that their organizations are lagging behind in adopting cloud computing and AI to accelerate progress towards stability goals.
Overall, 82% of businesses agree that sustainable development in technology is paramount for their companies, Singapore 93%, Philippines 91% and 89% charge in markets such as Indonesia. Companies recognize the versatile benefits of adopting digital technologies for stability, including rapid cost savings, better operating capacity, and compliance with environment, social and governance (ESG) rules.
AI and machine learning are seen as the most important digital techniques to carry out corporate stability, Europe emphasized their importance than 41% with 52% businesses in the Middle East, emerging Asian market 40% and developed Asian markets 36%.
However, the survey reveals a notable concern: 61% of respondents are afraid that high energy consumption associated with digital technologies may obstruct the adoption of wider AI.
In addition, 71% of businesses believe that adequate energy consumption of digital technologies such as power to AI may overtake Singapore 86%, Philippines 84% and Malaysia 81% with supreme concerns with supreme concerns.
The survey shows that 88% of Malaysian business agrees that it is important for the company that technology is constantly developed.
