Pluto goes direct at 1° Aquarius on October 14, 2025.
Whenever Pluto – or any outer planet – changes direction, its energy amplified,
When Mercury, Venus or Mars are retrograde, we focus on the actual retrograde period – the weeks when those planets are moving backward.
But in the case of the outer planets, retrograde itself does not matter. Pluto, Neptune, and Uranus spend almost half the year in retrograde motion!
instead, What matters with the outer planets is change – The moment when the planet changes direction. Whether the outer planets move from direct to retrograde, or – as now – when Pluto moves from retrograde to direct, we feel the jolt.
We recently had a Uranus station in early September, and that period was full of Uranus events and unexpected shocks. In July 2025, Neptune changed direction, and the world witnessed a wave of humanitarian crisis and mass development.
Now it is Pluto’s turn to create a storm in the water.
Pluto Stationary Direct
But 14 October 2025 – And for next week – Pluto’s energy is at its peakAll eyes are on Pluto!
To put it mildly, Pluto doesn’t always have the best reputation. Most people – even those who use words like “change” – are still afraid of or avoid Pluto. Say “Pluto” and you start thinking about death, loss, or endings.
But it is not Pluto that brings conflict. It is our resistance to Pluto that does this.
It doesn’t help that regular astrology advice usually starts with “Don’t” when dealing with “difficult” transits.
Don’t do it, don’t make decisions, don’t leave the house – as if Pluto is something we can trick or avoid.
When stationary, Pluto says: I am here. Tune into my frequency. And if we say “No, thank you”, like any signal we try to ignore, it becomes stronger and more insistent. The less we tune in, the louder Pluto becomes – like a siren that won’t stop, increasing in volume until it finally becomes unbearable.
So what should we do instead?
When Pluto Comes, We Do Pluto,

We don’t run from Pluto – we meet him.
This may mean paying attention to and engaging with things that would otherwise scare us. Let’s take the fear of death, which is the primal fear. Instead of ignoring it, changing the subject, or turning up the volume on the TV, we want to ask: What are we really afraid of?
If we find ourselves avoiding difficult topics or uncomfortable emotions, there’s often an emotional truth we don’t want to — or don’t feel ready to process. A deeper truth we are afraid to fully embrace, even when the signs are there.
Pluto wants us to resolve what is otherwise troubling us.
For example, if it’s the fear of losing a job, it’s really about survival: How will we pay the mortgage, how will we take care of our kids? All of these scenarios seem overwhelming – we don’t want to think about them because of how they make us feel.
But actually thinking about them – doing so earlier, when there is no obvious danger – is better.
It gives us options. It allows the mind to think more strategically, to plan ahead, to imagine different scenarios – so that if we lose our job, we already have a support system, or savings, or an asset we can sell, or even free up time to pursue those personal projects we’ve always dreamed of.
All this – facing what we want to avoid – makes us more resilient, which is Pluto. In fact Wants.
Pluto doesn’t want us to be strong just to be “powerful”, but to be flexible to be agile. Cockroaches are millions of years old. Dinosaurs didn’t make it.
Because, as Darwin said, “The species that survive the longest is the most adaptable to change,
When we have choices, when we think ahead, life is less at risk. And when the worries of everyday survival subside, we have the opportunity to discover our true self, true purpose and live more authentically – In line with our unique capabilities.
And that’s actually the true, original Pluto inspiration.
Connecting with Pluto Stationary Direct
How do we connect with Pluto? How can we “exceed” Pluto?
Here are some ways to actively connect with Pluto’s energy, as it is now at its peak and demanding attention:
PPsychotherapy, journaling, or deep reflection: basically, going deep within yourselfThis doesn’t necessarily require a therapist – just a willingness to consider something that’s typically overlooked. Sometimes reading or watching crime stories or psychological literature can also help in this process, if you use it as a mirror to reflect your own depths.
Being truthful – to others and to yourself – even when it feels unsafeBeing truthful doesn’t always mean blurting out whatever comes to mind – “You look fat in this dress” – nor does it mean acting on every passing emotion – “I’m going to quit my job.” Instead, Pluto truth tells us to consider the bigger picture, long-term consequences, and do the right thing.
Go down an investigative “rabbit hole”. Take time to thoroughly research a topic or area of life until you get to the bottom of things. Go as deep as you can – reading, asking questions, following clues.
Most of the time – and especially in these ‘social media scrolling’ times – we don’t dig deep enough; We can read the title, but not the footprint. Going deeper requires a certain level of sustained focus and energy investment. This is a sign that you have reached a lower level of exploration: you are confident in your own understanding, and you don’t need anyone’s approval.
Be strategic and long term: Pluto wants you to manage risks so you can become more flexible and focus on what really matters.
What steps can you take now if you want financial freedom? What options can you start considering? If protection is a concern, it may be time to make a will or take out insurance. If you’re seeking greater impact, this might mean partnering with people who share your vision, or investing in long-term projects.
When Pluto goes direct, the invitation is not to avoid or outwit what is emerging – but to turn toward it, connect with it, and let that deeper truth guide your next steps.
With Pluto, transformation begins the moment we are ready to meet life on its deepest terms.
