San Francisco – Government of Quebec announced a $ 10 million Canadian dollar ($ 7.3 million) prize to Canadian rocket startup reaction dynamics and software developer Maya HTT.
The funding will enable the reaction dynamic to persuade the hybrid propulsion system to qualify and establish a test feature with Canadian software and engineering service firm Maya HTT.
The goal is to ensure that the hybrid propulsion system is not only built in Canada, but 100 percent from Quebec, Premier François Lagault said at a news conference on Facebook on 9 June.

Arora rocket
The reaction dynamics established in 2017 is developing the Arora rocket to send satellites with a mass of 200 kg or less. The first suborobital launch at the end of 2025 is expected to be launched, followed by orbital flights in 2027 or 2028.
“Our proposal is a rapid service dedicated to satellite operators in commercial and defense areas,” said during the news conference by Bachaer Elzine, CEO of Reaction Dynamics and Chief Technology Officer. “Equal to a private-jate flight at the expense of the economy-class. Cubek’s support will allow the government’s support reaction mobility to move towards our planned performance flight.”
Maya is providing reaction dynamics and $ 8 million for $ 2 million to develop a simulation tool to customize the Quebec engine development.
Sovereign capacity
Quebec created this investment keeping in mind the commercial, civil and defense applications. Lagault asked for geopolitical instability that is motivating countries to search for sovereign space systems.
“Canada and European countries cannot expect a chance to expect that if I am attacked, it may be a trump that comes to defend me,” Lagault said, “Lagault said, President Donald Trump” is not a reliable partner. “
Christine Future, Minister of Economy, Innovation and Energy, the Minister of Energy, said that the reaction dynamics award would help Quebec to be “a world leader in aerospace”.
Aero Montreal Chairman and CEO Melani Lucier appreciated the funding of Quebec for response Dynamics and Maya HTT, saying that the investment would help to ensure Canada’s technical sovereignty. So far, to launch a satellite, Canada had to rely on other nations plate. “
