Friday – A convicted sex offender released from prison two weeks ago allegedly posed as a doctor and sexually assaulted a student inside an Arizona elementary school, sparking outrage and calls for answers from parents, according to reports.
According to the Phoenix Police Department (PPD), 25-year-old Abel Kai Geblah is charged with sexual assault and kidnapping at Orangewood Elementary School on Nov. 19 after he entered school grounds, pretended to be a doctor, lured a female student into her classroom and assaulted her.
PPD officials said in a statement to Fox News Digital that officers were called to the school after administrators reported an incident on campus.
“When officers arrived, they learned that an unauthorized person had entered school grounds and lured a grade-school-aged girl into the classroom, where he sexually assaulted her,” police said. “At some point, the student managed to push the man away. He fled the scene before officers arrived.”
Recently released videos linking the teen’s detention by police to a violent sexual assault case have angered families.
