Recently, Shopee highlighted these efforts National Consumer Day 2026organized by Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) and conducted by YAB Dato Seri Anwar bin Ibrahim, Prime Minister of MalaysiaWhere Shopee through its exhibition and public sharing session informed the public about scam awareness and safe online shopping practices.
At the event, Shopee shared practical guidance on how users can better protect themselves online, including recognizing suspicious links, being wary of impersonation attempts, avoiding payment requests outside of trusted platforms or official channels, and avoiding sharing sensitive information like OTPs or banking details.
Users who encounter suspicious activity are encouraged to seek support through official customer service and reporting channels, and to be alert to fraudulent tactics that exploit impersonation, impersonation, and requests for off-platform payments.
