SpaceX sent 27 of its starlink internet satellites towards the Earth’s orbit this evening (April 3).
A Falcon 9 rocket carrying Starlink Craft was removed from the Wandenberg Space Force Base today today at 9:02 pm (6:02 PM local California time; 4 April 0102 GMT).
Eight minutes later, the first stage of the rocket was touched on the Spacex Drone Ship “Ai Sill Love You”, which was stationed in the Pacific Ocean. According to the company mission details, it was the fifth launch and landing for this particular booster.
If all go according to the plan, the upper stage of Falcon 9 will deploy Starlink satellites about an hour after the liftoff.
Tonight’s launch followed a SpaceX doubleheader on Monday (31 March) when the company opened another Starlink batch as well as Fram2 private astronaut mission, the first human spacecraft in the classroom on the Earth’s poles.

SpaceX has now launched 38 Falcon 9 missions in 2025, of which about two-thirds of Starlinks are dedicated to the manufacture of megaconstals.
Starlink is the largest satellite network so far, the largest satellite network ever. It currently exceeds more than 7,100 operating spacecraft, according to astrophizist and satellite tracker Jonathan McDowell.
