- “Broken engagement ring” is a notable star pattern (asteroid).
- It is located near Star Mark in Big Dipper.
- Asteroid is seen with binoculars or low-power binoculars.
- It is made up of unrelated stars, showing interesting sky patterns beyond specific dark-shy objects.
The sky is interesting and full of unusual asteroids. If you look very hardly around, or are tired enough, you can explain yourself that you see the pattern of stars that practically get anything.
But some asteroids, only the patterns of stars that are made of members, are physically not connected to each other, standing out more than others. One such remarkable asteroid is Satcharssen 1, usually known as a “broken engagement ring”.
The Ring of Stars is located just 1 ° west of Majoris, 2D-Magnetud Star Mark, Beta Urs, which is the right star below in Big Dipper’s bowl. The broken engagement ring contains aesthetic of physically unrelated stars, which ranges from 7 to 11 magnitude, with a diameter of about 15 ‘.
Thus, the ring makes a really good vision in the telescope or low-power binoculars region of viewing.
Take a look and see what you think-and remember that the sky hides quite interesting areas, which have nothing to do with deep-sky items, which we think regularly!
