Washington: US President Donald Trump will meet Russian President Vladimir Putin to interact on the end of the war in Ukraine on August 15, Trump said on Friday.
Trump announced on social media that he said that parties, including Ukraine President Volodimier Zelanceki, were close to a ceasefire deal that could solve the three -year struggle.
Addressing reporters at the first White House on Friday, Trump suggested that an agreement would include some land exchange.
Trump said, “The states will have some swapping for the betterment of both.”
In his evening address to the nation, Zelancesi said it was possible to achieve a ceasefire until sufficient pressure was implemented on Russia. He said that he had more than a dozen talks with leaders of various countries and his team was in constant touch with the United States.
Putin has claimed Crimea’s Black Sea Peninsula, along with four Ukrainian regions – Luhansk, Donnetsk, Zaporizhia and Kherson, which he had anx in 2014. His army does not fully control all areas in four regions.
Ukraine has previously indicated a desire to be flexible in search to end a war that has destroyed its cities and cities and killed a large number of their soldiers and citizens.
But acknowledging the damage around the fifth region of Ukraine would be painful and politically challenging for the Zelanceci and his government.
Bloomberg News earlier stated on Friday that the US and Russia were aiming to reach a deal to stop the war in Ukraine, which would be closed in the seized area during their military invasion, Bloomberg News said earlier on Friday.
Former Deputy Special Representative of the US State Department for Ukraine’s economic reform, Tyson Barker said the peace proposal mentioned in the Bloomberg report would be rejected immediately by Ukrainian.
Barker, a senior partner of the Atlantic Council, said, “Ukrainians who can do the best can be firm in their objections and their terms for a conversation, while demonstrating their gratitude for American support.”
According to Bloomberg, under the cyst deal, Russia will stop its aggressive in Kherson and Zaporizhia regions with current war lines.
Trump and Putin

Trump’s special envoy Steve Witchoff on Wednesday talked with Putin in Moscow for a three -hour conversation that the two sides described as creative.
Poland Prime Minister Donald Tusk, a close associate of Ukraine, earlier said on Friday that a stagnation in the conflict could be close. He was speaking after a conversation with Zelansky.
“There are some signs, and we also have an intuition, that perhaps a freeze in the struggle – I don’t want to say the end, but a freeze in the conflict – even far away,” Tusk said at a news conference. “There are expectations for this.”
Tusk also stated that Zelancesi was “very cautious but optimistic” and Ukraine was curious that Poland and other European countries play a role in planning for a ceasefire and a final peace disposal. – Reuters
