Tsunami waves arrived on the east coast of Japan on Wednesday after a powerful earthquake on the east coast of Russia.
The 8.8 magnitude earthquake gave rise to a tsunami fears in most parts of the Pacific Ocean Basin, including Hawaii, Southern Alaska, the entire American western coast and the coast of British Columbia.

“Today’s earthquake was serious and the strongest in decades of decades,” said in a video posted on Telegram by Dakchataka village Vladimir Soladow.

The ministry said that a kindergarten was also damaged, but most of the buildings left behind the earthquake and no fatal.
The Japanese Meteorological Agency said it expected tsunami waves up to 10 feet to reach large coastal areas.
The tsunami alarm seemed to be in coastal cities of the Pacific coast of Japan, as the authorities urged people to find high land.
