- President Trump announced the transfer from the Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado to the US Space Command Headquarters in Huntsville, Alabama.
- The Defense Department estimates that rehabilitation will generate more than 30,000 jobs and attract adequate investment in Alabama.
- The US Space Command, an integrated fighter command, was originally established in 1985, dissected in 2002, and was restored in 2019.
- The President said that the command would contribute to the development of a employed “Golden Dome” missile defense system and increase American dominance in space.
President Donald Trump has announced that the US Space Command Peterson will transfer the Army’s Redstone Arsenal to the Space Force Base, Colorado, Huntsville, Alabama.
The statement came during a press conference at the White House on Tuesday, where the President said that Huntsville would be known as “Rocket City” from this point – a surname that has already been used by the city since the 1950s.
Trump said on Tuesday afternoon, “I am thrilled to tell that the US Space Command Headquarters Huntsville will run in a beautiful place of a place called Alabama.”
According to a department of Defense News, the move is expected to create more than 30,000 jobs for Alabama and attract hundreds of billions of dollars in investment.
Space Command – or spacecraft – is one of the 11 integrated fighter commands of the Defense Department, and was originally built in September 1985. In October 2002, the spacecraft was distracted and its forces were transferred to the US strategic command.
Trump re -established the spacecraft during his first term as President in August 2019.
He said on Tuesday that the spacecraft would help in building the US’s employed “Golden Dome” missile defense system.
“We were losing race in space very badly for China and Russia, and now we are very far and away in space, and we are [reestablishing] A spacecraft with a mission to protect American space assets and detect any threat to our homeland.
No time was given to the move not expected to be expected.
