Denmark found himself himself in Crosshare of President Donald Trump on Friday. Trump pays attention to what his administration is now arguing, Copenhagen is a failure to protect Greenland from Russian and Chinese aggression.
Talking to American troops from the US Pituitary Space Base in Northwest Greenland, Vice President Vance said, “Denmark has not done a good job in keeping Greenland safe.”
Vance explained in a toned-down approach more than Trump’s previous statements, “We think Greenlanders are going to choose to be independent of Denmark, through Greenlanders, self-determination.” “And then we are going to interact with the people of Greenland from there.”

The Vice President’s reply was in response to questions from reporters as to what length Trump would go to, despite strong resistance within the Arctic nation to be a part of the US to acquire Greenland as the President has previously indicated that he has an ambition.
“We don’t think the military force is going to be necessary at any time,” Vance continued. “And because we feel that the people of Greenland are rational and good, we think we are able to cut Donald Trump-style to ensure the safety of the region, but also the United States.”
Vance said that Russia and China are largely uncontrolled in the region and “encroachment” over Greenland without proper security from Denmark.
Although Greenland is an autonomous nation, it is still a region of Denmark, which means Copenhagen oversees its safety needs.

Greenland currently does not have its own army and will not be preserved by NATO if it is left Denmark, as it will need to be formally applied to NATO membership as an independent nation.
Vance said, “Security footprints have expanded in the security interests of Russia and China. They are doing what they believe in their interest,” Vance said. “The United States should do what I know is in our interest – which is to ensure that Greenland is safe.
He said, “If there is no self -determination in Greenland, if the people of Greenland have controlled their future by the Chinese Communist Party, it is not going to improve his life, and most importantly that it is going to create American and the world … security is very weak,” he said.

Trump doubles to achieve Greenland for ‘World Peace’
Vance said he wants Greenland to have American weapons, not Chinese weapons, and believes that a partnership could be secured after the Arctic nation voted for independence from Denmark.
While some in Greenland have said that they are interested in acquiring a partnership with Washington, which may include access to fishing streets in exchange for defense guarantee, Trump has indicated that he is more interested in the country’s rare earth minerals and energy opportunities.
However, Greenland, which is conscious of the environment, has previously prevented the European Union from dealing to reach those reputed resources.

“When the President says we have got Greenland, they are saying that the island is not safe,” Vance said. “Many people are interested in it. Many people are doing a play.
“Our message is very simple: yes, the people of Greenland are going to do self -determination,” they continued. “We hope they choose to partner with the United States.
“We are the only nations on earth that will respect their sovereignty and respect their safety, because their safety is very high,” Vance said.
