Tampa Bay Raz Shortstop Wander Franco was found guilty of sexual abuse of a minor in the Dominican Republic on Thursday and was sentenced to two years suspended jail.
Franco, now 24, was arrested last year, when he was accused of having sex at the age of 14 at the age of 14.
He also faced allegations of sexual and commercial exploitation against a minor and human trafficking.
Franco last played in Major League baseball in August 2023, before he was placed on administrative leave after allegations of involving their relationship with a young girl.
Franco played parts of three sessions with rays, and was named All-Star in the 2023 season.
