It’s a solid assumption that the main reason for the change in studios was the lackluster reception of “Dawn of War 3”, in which Relic left behind the rock-solid style of RTS that matched the original game. While the second and third entries were not bad gameThey definitely felt like something completely different. After nearly a decade, it’s understandable that Games Workshop wanted to move forward with a separate studio.

As for the Adeptus Mechanicus, they too are servants of the Imperium of Man, but their focus is on the secret threat lurking beneath the surface of Cronus, given their growing popularity after a major role in “Warhammer 40000: Mechanicus” (and the upcoming sequel, “Mechanicus 2”), it’s no surprise that they finally got a fully featured faction in their Dawn of War series debut. Getting it.
Looking at the bad guys, we’ve got the ever-present Orks – a war-loving race that focuses on hordes of boyars and dilapidated vehicles combined with hope, rivets, and maybe a little magic. Finally, the immortal Necrons have once again awakened on Cronus, and they are as angry as ever. Real “get off my lawn” energy from these robotic horrors.

December 2025 story trailer The Blood Ravens are shown having a hard time on the surface, but the Dark Angels answer their call, and engulf the world once again in endless war. Can victory be achieved? Only the emperor knows.
More will be revealed in the future, and we’re especially curious about the “ancient terror” below that the Mechanicus priests may have awakened. Given the presence of the Necrons (and the lack of Chaos factions in the roster), our money is on Catan, one of the Necron star deities.
