WhatsApp has started testing two new features on the recent beta versions of the messaging app on Android. Meta -owned chat service has added a new widget that makes it easier for users to reach their meta AI chatbot, without opening the app. Meanwhile, a new AI-based group icon feature is available to some beta testers, and users can use meta AI to create and set group photos using signals. These features are eventually expected to make their way for all users on WhatsApp for iOS and Android.
WhatsApp beta causes a group icon to the beta testers using AI
After updating WhatsApp beta for Android 2.25.6.10 (through feature tracker wabetainfo), some beta examiners will see a new option that allows them to generate images using meta AI. Given the current icon of a group, after tapping on the pencil icon, users will be presented with a fifth option Create Ae Emage,

Gadgets 360 was able to confirm that this feature is available on the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android. After tapping on Create Ae EmageUsers will see a meta AI prompt screen. Beta examiner can enter a prompt and wait for a chatbot to generate multiple images, then swipe through options to take a new group icon.
Meanwhile, for Android 2.25.6.14 update recently WhatsApp beta which was rolled out for examiners a few days ago, introduced a new widget that can be added to the home screen. It is essentially a shortcut that allows users to reach the meta AI chatboat without opening the first WhatsApp.
While the screenshot of WABetaInfo shown a huge widget with three selected buttons – Ask Meta Ai, QuarrelAnd sound – Gadgets 360 was able to add only a slimmer version of the widget, which shows Ask Meta Ai Button after installing WhatsApp beta for Android 2.25.6.14.
Tap Ask Meta Ai Button takes users to chat with Meta AI Chatbot in WhatsApp, and the users can either type or use in a query Quarrel And sound Button for photo -based or audio signals. Users on a stable channel will need to open WhatsApp and select the Meta AI floating action button (fab) to reach the meta AI chatbot, until the new widget is rolled out for all users.
