Late on Sunday night, 6.0 earthquakes in East Afghanistan near their shared border with Pakistan killed East Afghanistan, killing at least 250 people and injuring hundreds of people.
The US Geological Survey said that the earthquake was reported at 11:47 am in a few 17 miles east of Jalalabad city of Nangarhar province.
The area is difficult to use, so the limit of damage and injuries is not fully known at this time.
The Kunar Disaster Management Authority said in a statement that at least 250 people were killed and 500 others were injured, although those figures were expected to increase.

The earthquake was just 5 miles deep and the shallow earthquake causes more damage.
After midnight, a 4.5 magnitude earthquake occurred in the same province.

Afghanistan is particularly unsafe for earthquakes, especially in the Hindu Kush mountain range where Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates are found.

The Taliban government estimated that at least 4,000 people were killed, although the United Nations reduced the death of around 1,500.
