Openai is expanding the Chatgpt Membership Scheme beyond India. The company launched its sub-$ 5 chat gate paid plan for the country’s users last month and is now making the same plan for RP75,000 ($ 4.50) per month in Indonesia.
The Chatgpt Go Plan is a mid-tear subscription option that sits between the free version of Openai and the Chatgpt Plus plan of its premium $ 20-mahine. Users get 10 times more use limitations than free plans to send questions or signals, generate images and upload files. The plan allows the chatgupt to better remember the previous interaction, enables more personal responses over time, the chatter head Nick Turley said on X.
Turley said that since the company launched the Chatting Go Plan in India, the subscribers paid have been more than doubled.
The step puts Openai in a straight competition with Google, which launched its same price AI Plus subscription plan in Indonesia earlier this month. Google’s AI Plus plan offers users access to its Gemini 2.5 Pro chatbot, as well as creative tools for image and video making image and video construction. The scheme also includes increased features for Google’s AI Research Assistant Notebook and integrates AI capabilities in Gmail, Docs and Sheets with 200GB cloud storage.
