A group of unknown researchers allegedly affiliated to the University of Zurich, according to the moderators of the subredit, used a month’s AI on users of the Reddit’s R/Changmi Viva (CMV) Debate Forum.
In the announcement of a pin, the CMV moderation team revealed that in March, they were informed that the community was inadvertently hosting four months of experimentation. Researchers deployed the AI-operated bots to generate reactions to persuade their brain to change their brain, as was first seen by 404 media. After disclosure, the mediators filed a moral complaint with the University of Zurich, requesting that the research was not published, that researchers face disciplinary action, and that a public apology is issued.
