Mission Highlight: Axiom 4 – A historical multinational effort
AXIOM Mission 4 (AX-4), EDT from Kennedy Space Center on June 11 at 8:00 am, will take crew members from India, Poland and Hungary-will present the first mission of each country at the international space station. The historic flight will be commanded by NASA veteran Paigi Whitson and will have an important milestone in the commercial spaceflight. See launch live,
The mission will be operated by Shubhanshu Shukla, which will become India’s second national astronaut to reach space since 1984. BBCShukla reflected the emotional weight of this moment, saying, “As I go to space, I not only take equipment and equipment, I take the hopes and dreams of one billion hearts.”
Also on the board is Sylawosz Uznoski, astronaut of a European space agency project and another astronaut of Poland, and the second national astronaut of Hungary Since 1980, Tibor Kapu. The mission will be commanded by NASA veteran Pegi Whitson, which combines its permanent record for the longest cumulative time by an American Astronweight. This marks its second commercial human spaceflight mission.
It has an ambitious research agenda to separate the AX-4, with around 60 scientific studies, which represent 31 countries, including the US, India, Poland, Hungary, Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Nigeria, United Arab Emirates and the entire Europe. It marks the most comprehensive research portfolio of any self -discovery space mission of human health, earth observation and biological and physics, demonstrating increasing global investment in microgravity research.
The highlights also have a new partnership between NASA and the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), which is collaborating on several investigations aboard the AX-4 mission. These include the use of muscle regeneration, the growth of sprouts and food microalgies, the existence of small aquatic organisms, and how the human space interacts with electronic displays in space.
According to Axiom Space, “AX-4 Mission stands as a beacon of opportunity for India, Poland and Hungary, each prepared to take advantage of this mission to carry forward its national space programs.” This mission underlines how commercial spaceflight is creating new avenues to participate in the space economy and contributes to the understanding of humanity to live and work in space.
