
Beijing: China on Wednesday saw an increase in the border ranminby (RMB) transactions with Cambodia and Malaysia in the first quarter of 2025, according to the People’s Bank of China.
During this period, the amount of 5 billion yuan (US $ 693 million) across the border between China and Cambodia, up to 45 percent years on the year.
Overall, a total of 1.3 billion yuan, 23 percent increase for trade in cross-border RMB transactions goods.
In the first quarter of this year, China and Malaysia had an amount of RMB transactions across the border 102 billion yuan, growing 27 percent from a year ago.
According to the central bank, China will continue to improve its policies to provide a more convenient and friendly environment for business institutions in China, Cambodia and Malaysia.
