Around 25,000 people gathered from 23 February to 2 March for the 2025 Ethanvar Conference in Colorado – an incident that included state governors and representatives of several crypto companies and American MPs.
The annual ethrium-centric incident launched in 2017 brought developers together for technological presentations, boot camps, networking events and socialization this year with its traditional Bududalweak. Although some attendees commented on the “disappointment and doom” of falling in the prices of major tokens, the general environment seemed optimistic.
Many children participated with their parents, possibly entertained by a variety of mascot, which includes a combination of a buffalo and unicorn – including the traditional ethanver BuffiCorn while dancing on the floor of the site. Colorado Governor Jred Police spoke at the inauguration ceremony of the event on 27 February, in which the attendees said that they helped arrange for unseasonal hot weather in Denver – easily above 60 degrees Fahrenheit (16º Celsius). Although several panels focused on various issues in space, from trolling North Korean hackers to Crypto in banking, the event also showed a platform for policy concerns on 28 February.

The US state is also one of the only courts to allow local people to use digital identity cards on its phone in some cases. These may be some reasons that Athenevar founder John Pallar suggested that the conference was never planned to move to another state soon.

Hester Peerus of the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) spoke at Ethanvar in 2024. Although the commissioners did not appear in the individual this year, the regulator’s action affected the mob after SEC’s announcement on 27 February. Bow Hines, Executive Director of the Crysto Working Group of President Donald Trump, canceled the day he was scheduled to speak. Hines will conduct a crypto summit at the White House on March 7, in which several digital asset CEOs and leaders are expected to attend.
