“For example, there’s a lot of talk about Greenland, and, I know there are a lot of things going on there and, of course, I would never advocate taking it by force,” Fetterman said. “But, I think it’s a responsible conversation if they were willing to get it, you know, even if it means buying it outright.”
Fetterman told those who think the idea of the US acquiring Greenland is “stupid” that, under former President Thomas Jefferson, the US purchased the Louisiana Purchase and, under former President Andrew Johnson, the US acquired Alaska. Had bought.
Fetterman said, “If someone thinks this is nonsense, that’s fine, remember the Louisiana Purchase.” “I think Alaska was also a pretty big deal, I think it was $50 million. It was called Seward’s Folly.”
Amid talk of a US takeover of Greenland, Trump’s eldest son Donald Trump Jr. recently visited Greenland with Turning Point founder Charlie Kirk.
