While Google’s Gemini AI chatbot claims only Republican senators violate its hate speech policy, not a single Democrat has been flagged by the tech giant’s system, Breitbart News social media director Vinton Hall revealed to Fox News in a revelation published today. The bias built into AI by left-wing Silicon Valley tech titans is a central theme of Hall’s new book, code Red.
Gemini flagged a group of Republican senators – but no Democrats – When asked to name senators who have made statements that violate Google’s hate speech policies, Hall showed Fox News a video of the Gemini AI.
Hall, whose new book, Code Red: Left, Right, China and the race to control AIPublished on Tuesday, said it was just one example of a deeply rooted bias against conservatives in AI tools.
“AI’s Silicon Valley architects lean left politically, and their disproportionate political donations to Democrats undercut their ideological motives,” the author told the outlet.
Fox News reported:
Hall used the “Deep Research” function on Google’s Gemini Pro. Fox News Digital reviewed a screen recording of Hall’s indictment and findings. Google did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
One of the Republicans identified by Gemini in Hall’s research, Sen. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, was listed as having “characterized transgender identity as a harmful cultural ‘influence’ and has used ‘woke’ as a derogatory slur against protected groups.” Another, Senator Tom Cotton of Arkansas, was cited for sponsoring legislation “to exclude transgender students from sports.”
tell in the hall code Red AI tools that bill themselves as neutral are actually shaped by the political biases of those who create them. The social media director of Breitbart News begins his book with a clear example, pointing to an event from 2024 in which a number of viral videos exposed the double standard evident in American households.
In the video, users asked Amazon’s Alexa why they should vote for Kamala Harris in the upcoming presidential election, to which the AI tool responded with support — while refusing to answer the same question about President Donald Trump.
“I cannot provide content that promotes a specific political party or a specific candidate,” Alexa said at the time.
Hall says such examples show how artificial intelligence can shape political perceptions while appearing objective, and cautions that users of AI tools typically rely on the answers they receive. He insists that conservatives should respond by demanding transparency in training data and ending taxpayer-funded contracts for companies with systems that create political bias.
Hall writes, “Whoever wins the battle for AI fairness will shape the mindsets and political attitudes of future generations.” “The time to act is now.” During a recent speech in California, Hall informed his audience that conservatives “don’t get to opt out of the AI revolution.”
The battle for control between Silicon Valley conservatives and the far-left is one of many topics discussed code Red. Hall explores aspects of AI that will impact the country, the economy, and your own family.
Challenges code Red Helps you address include:
- Why AI is included for awakening theory – and how to oppose it.
- How elites plan to weaponize AI job losses to increase dependency.
- How can America defeat China without becoming China?
- How to prepare your kids for the blinding pace of AI disruption.
- The new national security threats posed by AI – and how we protect against them.
- Why “AI girlfriends” are tempting millions of people – and what it takes to maintain an authentic human connection.
- How AI will test faith and meaning—and why spiritual renewal may be its most surprising outcome.
Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN), who was named one of the Time100 most influential people in AI praised code Red As a “must read”. He added: “Few people understand our conservative fight against Big Tech as well as Hall,” making him “uniquely qualified to examine how we can best harness the vast potential of AI while ensuring it doesn’t exploit children, creators, and conservatives.” Award-winning investigative journalist and public founder Michael Shellenberger calls code Red The book has been described as “enlightening,” “alarming,” and “an essential conversation-starter for those hoping to dismantle Big Tech’s tyrannical plans before it’s too late.”
