After temporary closure due to aircraft tire burst, KLIA’s runway resumed operations at 7.40 pm following safety clearance from CAAM.
Sepang: The runway affected by a tire burst at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) reopened at 7.40pm today after receiving final safety clearance from the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM).
KLIA posted on Facebook that flight operations on the runway had resumed and were back to normal.
Earlier, one of its three runways was temporarily closed today after a plane’s tire burst, and the closure was initially expected to last till 9 pm, according to its latest Notice to Airmen (NOTAM).
