Melaka PAS commissioner Zulkifli Ismail suffered minor injuries, while his wife suffered chest pain following a collision between two vehicles at a traffic light intersection.

Alor Gaza police chief Superintendent Ahmad Abu Bakar said that in the accident, which happened at 5.20am, the 60-year-old Melaka PAS commissioner was driving a Nissan Teana through the Jelatang traffic-light intersection while driving a Perodua Axia from Alor Gaza towards Gadek.
He said the Perodua Axia was being driven by a 30-year-old female factory worker, whose three friends were also in the car.
“As a result of the accident, both of Zulkifli’s hands were amputated, while his wife suffered chest pain. The driver of the Perodua Axia is reported to have fractured ribs and a hip,” he said in a statement today.
He said the Perodua Axia driver was being treated at Melaka Hospital, while three of his friends suffered minor injuries and were also being treated at Alor Gaza Hospital.
He said that the matter is being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
