Crime scene tape surrounded a home owned by the husband of Representative Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) Saturday night, as Boston homicide detectives investigated a body found at the property.
A police spokesperson told CBS News that officers were called to the home on Malta Street in Boston’s Mattapan neighborhood at 1:52 p.m. “for a report of a person being checked.”
When they arrived they found the man dead, the spokesperson said.
Police have not released any further details such as the cause or manner of death, but the homicide unit is now investigating the incident.

According to Boston city property records, Pressley’s husband, Conan Harris, is listed as the owner of the Malta Street home. The appraised value of the property is $919,000.
The two-story, seven-bedroom house was built in 1910. Pressley and Harris do not live at the home. This is a rental property that is currently for sale. The asking price is $1.15 million.
Presley’s office did not hesitate to immediately issue a statement.
“Congresswoman offers its deepest condolences to the affected family,” a spokesperson for Congresswoman said Saturday.
Presley’s husband Harris served 10 years in prison for drug trafficking, but he is often cited as having “successfully re-entered” as a productive member of society, working as a security consultant for the city of Boston and later becoming the executive director of My Brother’s Keeper, a community outreach nonprofit in Boston.

According to Presley’s website, he has been an advocate for people struggling to restart their lives after imprisonment.
Pressley was first elected to Congress in 2018.
After Harris got on the straight and narrow, the couple married in 2014.
