NASA and Blue are reopening media recognition for the migration of the original agency (escape and plasma acceleration and dynamics explorers) missions. The twin escapted spacecraft will study the interaction of the solar wind with Mars, which will provide insight into the planet’s real -time response to the space season and how solar activity does atmospheric migration. This will be the second launch of Blue Origin’s new Glenn rocket.
Media interested in covering escapted launch activities will have to apply for media credentials. Media who had earlier applied for media credentials for escapted launch do not need to re -apply.
American media and American citizens representing international media will have to apply by 11:59 pm on Monday, 13 October. Media recognition requests should be presented online: https://media.ksc.nasa.gov.
A copy of NASA’s media recognition policy is available online. For questions about recognition, please email: KSC-Media-CCREDITATATATATHIUTHISA For other mission questions, please contact NASA Kennedy’s news room: 321-867-2468.
Blue Origin has later targeted the decline for the launch of the Second Mission (NG -2) of New Glenn from Space Launch Complex 36 at Cape Canawral Space Force Station in Florida. Recognized media will have the opportunity to participate in prelonch media activities and cover the launch. Once targets on a specific launch date, NASA and Blue Origin will communicate additional details about the media event schedule.
NASA will post an update on the launch preparation for twin martian orbiters on escapted blog.
Escapted mission is part of NASA’s small innovative mission for the planetary exploration program and is funded by the agency’s Heliophysics Division. The mission is led by the University of California, Berkeley Space Sciences Laboratory, and the Rocket Lab designed the spacecraft. The agency’s launch services program located at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida secured the launch services launched under the VADR (dedicated and ridesaare) contract.
