Brettar, CEO of the board’s chair and AI agent Startup Sierra at OpenAI, was recently asked in an interview with The Varge if he agrees to announce the announcement of OpenaiAI CEO Sam Altman, “Someone is going to lose an unprecedented amount in AI”.
Taylor echoed Altman’s feelings, suggesting that we are really in a bubble – but like Altman, he was not very worried about it.
“I think it is true that the AI will change the economy, and I think it will produce huge amount of economic value in the future, like the Internet,” Taylor said. “I think we are also in a bubble, and a lot of people will lose a lot of money. I think the two are absolutely true at the same time, and there is a lot of historical example for both of them at the same time.”
In particular, Taylor compared today’s AI landscape to the 90s dot-com bubbles. While many companies failed when the bubble exploded, he argued that “all people were correct in 1999”.
