Police are searching for two brothers who stole a cash box and phone from a female budget rice seller in Ipoh, appealing for public assistance.
ipoh: Police is searching for two brothers who ran away with a woman’s cash box and mobile phone. ‘Nasi Budget’ (Budget Rice) vendor at his roadside stall on Jalan Lebuh Meru Raya here recently.
Ipoh district police chief ACP Muhammad Najib Hamzah said the first person has been identified as 36-year-old Mohd Faiz Naharuddin, also known as ‘Paeh’.
“He is estimated to be around 180 centimeters tall, has medium complexion and slim body, his last known address is Halaman Meru Damai, Ipoh.
“The second person is his younger brother, Mohammed Arif Naharoddin, 25, also known as ‘Aboy’, whose last known address is Halaman Meru Damai,” he said in a statement tonight.
He said Mohammad Arif is about 175 cm tall and has medium complexion and slim body.
Muhammad Najib urged members of the public who recognize the two brothers or have information about their whereabouts to contact investigating officer Sergeant Azrul on 017-5823467 or visit the nearest police station to assist in the investigation.
In the afternoon incident two days ago, the 21-year-old victim was doing business and packing food when she was approached by two men on a silver Yamaha Y15ZR motorcycle, who are believed to be posing as customers.
While the victim was packing rice, the suspects allegedly took a cash box full of money and her iPhone 13 before fleeing towards the Meru Raya intersection.
