According to a recent CNN poll, it appears that American voters are not as keen on the Democrats as the crucial midterm elections approach.
The percentages show that the Democrats’ numbers are declining as the days go by and the Republicans are also preparing for the 2026 midterm elections.
The CNN article said, “The survey shows registered voters are split in their partisan choices ahead of the midterms, with 45% saying they will support a Democratic candidate for Congress, 42% supporting a Republican candidate, and 14% supporting neither.” “Polling on congressional priorities this year, including past CNN surveys, has overwhelmingly favored Democrats. The CNN survey finds that voters who don’t trust either party’s economic message are more likely to favor Democrats on the general ballot.”
A Harvard Harris survey found Republicans are better off as they prepare for the midterms, as Breitbart News reported in March:
The survey asked respondents whether they would be more likely to vote for a Democrat or Republican for Congress if congressional elections were held today, with the likelihood that midterm voters would be split right down the middle. The results reflect an eight-point swing toward Republicans in the Harvard Harris Poll since January, when 54 percent of respondents answered they were more likely to vote for a Democrat, while only 46 percent chose a Republican,” the outlet said.
As Breitbart News reports, Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH) simplified the fight for the midterms in April, saying the argument in Republican favor essentially boils down to one thing:
Breitbart News Daily Host Mike Slater asked Jordan how Republicans can win in the midterms — a question on many people’s minds, as the incumbent party typically faces an uphill battle maintaining its majority, let alone expanding them.
“I think this election really boils down to two sentences, and those sentences are ‘They’re crazy. We’re not.’ And I think we have to highlight that to the American people,” Jordan explained.
The Democrat Party began the new year with a number of troubling issues still within its ranks, according to Jasmine Jordan of Breitbart News, who cited persistent internal discord, unresolved strategic debates and voter doubt.
Jordan reports, “Former Democratic House counsel Julian Epstein told Fox News last month that the party is out of step with the majority of voters, and attributed the party’s continued embrace of ‘the welfare state and identity politics’ to the state’s political power.” “He argued that while 70 percent of Americans are liberal or conservative, Democrats have allowed progressives – who represent a very small share of the electorate – to dominate the direction of the party.”
Meanwhile, according to Breitbart News, Democratic National Committee (DNC) insiders are reportedly trying to remove Ken Martin as chair due to his alleged failure to rally the troops after the 2024 election, in which former Vice President Kamala Harris (D) lost to President Donald Trump.
