Shah Alam: Proton Holdings BHD is aimed at launching at least “All-New” Proton X50 at least “two thousand plus” units per month.
Jhang Kiang, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Proton EDAR, said that with new advanced facilities, the new Proton X50 model will remain the country’s best-selling B-segment SUV. “We are targeted to sell at least 2,000 plus units of this new Proton X50 per month,” he asked reporters after the latest proton X50-launch of the latest proton X50 model at Setia City Mall, Shah Alam.
Zhang said the proton EDAR X50 will start accepting booking for the new model, targeting 10,000 units before the official launch for some time this month.
The new X50 comes with a bold new design and now has the Malay Language Voice Recognition. It is available in Executive, Premium and Flagship variants, with the overall new ad-on features of more than RM10,000.
Since its inception in 2020, Proton X50 has re-defined the SUV segment in Malaysia, selling more than 140,000 units, it has been ranked as the country’s best-selling B-segment SUV for five consecutive years. – Bernma
