The Baltimore Ravens are heading into the bye week at a shocking 1-5 after losing their fourth consecutive game, but reinforcements are on the way.
Head coach John Harbaugh told media members after Sunday’s loss to the Los Angeles Rams that Lamar Jackson, who missed the last two games due to a hamstring injury, is expected to return in Week 8 against the Chicago Bears.
“We have healthy players coming back,” Harbaugh said, according to the team’s official website. “Our quarterback is going to be back.”

Harbaugh was asked if he knew “for sure” Jackson would return.
“I mean sure? I’m like, but I don’t know,” he replied. “That’s how life is sometimes. You can’t predict everything. It’s still the future, but that’s the hope.”

The Ravens have felt the loss of Jackson over the last two games, as their offense has only allowed 13 points in that span.
Cooper Rush, Jackson’s backup quarterback to start the season, has been the starter for Harbaugh in the last two losses, and has struggled to get anything going. As the offense sputtered against the Rams on Sunday, Harbaugh called on Tyler “Snoop” Huntley, though not much changed.

Rush threw for 72 yards with an interception, while Huntley went 10 of 15 for 68 yards, while also rushing for 39 yards.
Two-time MVP Jackson will have to get the Ravens’ offense back on track if they want to get back to the playoffs. It’s an uphill battle now considering the record, but the Ravens know they have a “generational player” leading them.
Justice Hill, running back, said, “You can’t replace him.” “Obviously, getting him back would be a huge leap for our offense.”
