310 victims live in a relief center in Tawau after a fire in Kampung Titingan destroyed 40 houses, with the district declared a disaster area.
tawau: A relief center was opened at the Dewan Serbaguna Kompleks Sukan Tawau to house the victims of the fire that destroyed 40 houses in Kampung Titingan.
Tawau District Disaster Management Committee chairman Mohd Shaufian Mohd Sayeed declared Tawau a fire disaster area based on reports from agencies on the ground.
The Sabah State Disaster Management Committee said 310 victims from 70 families were affected.
The victims include 104 men, 102 women, 50 boys and 54 girls, whose number is expected to increase.
